Finding Trail Descriptions

So as not to repeat myself excessively, I am reducing the amount of description of trails that have already been posted. 3/7/13 Snowmobile Trails

Another in a long string of gray mornings with rain/snow forecast. I could not get motivated for a long drive so we did a part of the nearby snowmobile trail we had not done this year.  We started from the Penjajawoc  Grasslands and took the trail through the woods ( still a good bit of snow)  to the utility easement where the trail runs. Not a very scenic hike but the walking was easy and Kelley was happy just being out.

We did explore a couple of side trails that took us into the woods- a lot more snow on these and a bit of a slog. One trail Kelley wanted to do and we started but she got into deep snow and looked back at me as if to say. " not a good idea" and we turned back

Out in the more open area there were things uncovered by the snow to see.

Kelley does not like bridges in good repair so this one was out of the question. On the way out I had had to pull her out of the water  ( she had first tried both directions for a way around). This side  she she finally jumped out on her own.

Easy going after that and we returned the way we had come.

Not the most exciting hike but good exercise for both of us and we had the quiet and solitude.  3 hours
