Finding Trail Descriptions

So as not to repeat myself excessively, I am reducing the amount of description of trails that have already been posted. Please use the search function ( upper left) to find older posts which have more detailed trail descriptions and pictures. You can also use this to find specific hikes either by trail or mountain.

5/2/10 - Pemetic Mountain

Mostly cloudy but comfortable and no rain. We started from Jordan Pond parking taking the Pond Trail to Pemetic SW. This is a fairly steep trail with some rocky sections as well as woods

and sheets of granite

Kelley waiting patiently for me at the junction with the Pemetic Mtn. Trail

Looking around near the summit

We continued a short distance past the summit to the Pemetic NW Trail as our route down. This view is near the start of that trail

This is also a steep and rocky trail

Kelley looking for an alternate route ( which she found).

This trail ends near the Bubble Rock parking area and we took the trail past Bubble Rock to the S Bubble Trail toward the north end of Jordan Pond. Another rocky trail but beautiful new growth on the trees.

As soon as we came to the pond Kelley was in the water.

We continued over to the Jordan Pond West Shore Trail which is a little more challenging than the east side. In addition to a long boardwalk and a woods section it has a nice rocky section too.

We took the Nature Trail at the south end of the pond back to our car. 3 -3/4 hours

  1. I think Kelley is getting comfortable being photographed. She seems to be posing for you in some of these.
