10/8/13 Sunkhaze
Cool ( 50's) and windy but the sun was out so not bad hiking weather. We decided to try, once more, to sort the trails in the Buzzy Brook area.
We started on the south loop of the North Buzzy Brook Trail and when we came to the old sign went in the direction indicated as "South Buzzy Brook Trail". We ended up back on the North Buzzy Brook Trail and at Buzzy Brook.
Kelley didn't see anything wrong with that
We backtracked to an old woods road we had seen - a pretty trail
Before long we came to a small stream and could find no further evidence of trail
I did find a nice fern
We could not find any other trails in the area so we backtracked to the trail we had come in on and walked out to the McLaughlin Rd. We walked south on it for awhile to see if we could find any other trails. We did find an old woods road heading toward to power line easement and walked over there . At one time I found trails the other side of it. We looked a bit but only saw power lines
We found a nice sunny spot and had our lunch and headed back. In spite of not finding the trails we sought it had been a good hike on a beautiful day. 3 hours
