10/11/13 Sheepscot Headwaters Trails
Another near perfect day- sun and 50's when we started and 70 at the end. Although we have hiked this network of trails many times we had never hiked the Hemlock Hollow Trail and so that was today's goal. We started from the Whitten Hill trailhead , walked up to the Northern Headwaters Trail , and took that to the Hemlock Hollow Trail. This turned out to be a beautiful and varied woods trail.
There were even a couple of spots for Kelley to get into the water. When we reached the Hog Back Connector
we took that to the Bog Brook Loop Trail and even got a couple of non trail pictures
We followed the Bog Brook around to the Whitten Hill and that back to our car.
A really nice hike with great weather and pretty woods. 2 1/2 hours

What beautiful woods! Love your reflection photo.
ReplyDeleteThanks for commenting Linda ( and so quickly) -yes, pretty place and day. I liked the reflection but am always curious about other's reactions to the offbeat
DeleteGreat shots! Really like the branch of yellow leaves with the black background (Sorry, I'm not that great on tree identification).
ReplyDeleteThanks wandering- I'm not good at identification either.
