So as not to repeat myself excessively, I am reducing the amount of description of trails that have already been posted. Please use the search function ( upper left) to find older posts which have more detailed trail descriptions and pictures. You can also use this to find specific hikes either by trail or mountain.

1/18/13 Snowmobile Trail and Sarge's

Very cold - I stalled until 10:00 when it got up to 2 degrees- but sunny with little wind. We walked the trail south to Prentiss Woods and back and a sled had been through so the walking wasn't bad. Kelley was glad to be out after all my woosy stalling. This took us an hour and a quarter.










In the afternoon  ( up to 9 degrees) we walked north to the trail that cut across a large meadow




and then took a side trail that had been broken by someone on foot. We thought it would take us back to the main trail but it brought us to the end of Sarge's street. Sarge was out in his yard so the dogs got to play for awhile before we continued on home. ( it was much colder standing watching them than it had been walking)
A little over an hour so Kelley got her exercise in two installments.

    That's a nice hike when the dog gets to visit a friend, too!

    Thanks for commenting Casey- Kelley sure thought it was good- hiking and Sarge- the only thing missing was water.
