8/4/15 Essex Woods

Cloudy with rain forecast so we just went to nearby Essex Woods. It started to sprinkle but I had a plastic bag for my camera.

I found flowers and things to photograph - I messed up several pics

and Kelley found some water

After the water she wasn't interested in going farther so we headed back. When we started there had been no dogs in the dog park next to the parking lot but there was one when we got back. Kelley wasn't interested in it either.

Late afternoon we got thunder, lightening, wind, and rain. Kelley is really afraid of these storms and I looked to find her gone. Usually she gets under some shrubs or goes into the garage and has only left the yard twice. I drove around the neighbor hood several times and also walked around  calling her name. When the storm was over she did not appear and I was really worried. I thought surely she would be at the door when it got dark but she was not. About 9:00 a neighbor ( I had not previously met ) came to tell me Kelley was in their garage ( luckily she hadn't managed to lose her tags this time) and much relieved, I brought her home.

  1. I counted 8 white egrets at Essex Woods yesterday, always a lot going on. And plenty of dog scents for Kelley. Hopefully no storms this afternoon...

    1. We didn't see any- maybe because of Kelley- but there were lots of scents. Storms forecast for today again - I will keep a closer on on Kelley.

  5. You had me worried for a minute--I'm so glad you found her, but, I'm sure, not as glad as you. Your flowers are really pretty and well shot.
