So as not to repeat myself excessively, I am reducing the amount of description of trails that have already been posted. Please use the search function ( upper left) to find older posts which have more detailed trail descriptions and pictures. You can also use this to find specific hikes either by trail or mountain.

1/3/14 Neighborhood Walk

This morning it was - 10 degrees with a wind chill of - 22. No hike today. After lunch the temperature had risen to - 4 and the wind chill to -10 so we went for a half hour walk around the neighborhood. I think Kelley was disappointed that there were not people clearing their drives as usual. She stopped at her friends Homer and Gracie's drives but they were also not to be seen. Our next door neighbor was outside as we returned so all was not lost. Kelley stayed outside as I cleaned the drive and when I finished and went in she still wanted to be out. Tomorrow has forecast high of 13 - a heat wave.

    You are a hardy soul indeed! We went geocaching in the woods once when it was 4 below. It was fun for something different.

    I heard your part of the country was supposed to get snow and cold temps. I miss the snow but I don't miss below zero temps! Stay warm out there!
