Finding Trail Descriptions

So as not to repeat myself excessively, I am reducing the amount of description of trails that have already been posted. Please use the search function ( upper left) to find older posts which have more detailed trail descriptions and pictures. You can also use this to find specific hikes either by trail or mountain.

6/2/12 Kenduskeag Stream Trail

Rain forecast again so we headed downtown, parked at the library and started off. I found these petunias in front of some condos.

My plan was to just wander around but when we soon came to the entrance to the Kenduskeag Stream Trail Kelley wanted to go that way.

She cannot get into the water right downtown and so led me across a small pedestrian bridge  and away from town because she knows the spots she can get in the water are further on.

Lots of things grow beside the trail and the stream

Another bridge ( this one also for cars) takes you back across the stream as the trail continues.

One of the spots at which Kelley always stops

This fellow seemed to be teaching his child to fish

It ends  at a small park that has a couple of picnic tables and a parking lot that we usually start from

At the end of the trail we turn and go back the way we came - this was Kelley's last venture into somewhat shallow water.

A nice walk for both of us - we met some friendly folks and one dog. 2 hours
