Finding Trail Descriptions

So as not to repeat myself excessively, I am reducing the amount of description of trails that have already been posted. Please use the search function ( upper left) to find older posts which have more detailed trail descriptions and pictures. You can also use this to find specific hikes either by trail or mountain.

6/15/12 Downtown Bangor

Hope to finish the transplanting today so it was downtown for a short walk. Kelly did get a swim in the river and met some friendly people.

I had never seen a creature like this before. It was 2 -1/2 to 3 inches long and looked prehistoric to me.

Later, I did manage to get most of the transplanting done.

  1. #1 is a hellgrammite.
"Dobsonflies spend most of their life in the larval stage, during which they are called hellgrammites, "go-devils" or "crawlerbottoms", and are familiar to anglers who like to use the large larvae as bait"...from Wikipedia
