Finding Trail Descriptions

So as not to repeat myself excessively, I am reducing the amount of description of trails that have already been posted. Please use the search function ( upper left) to find older posts which have more detailed trail descriptions and pictures. You can also use this to find specific hikes either by trail or mountain.

9/24/13 Walden

Cold ( 40's) rainy morning. When the rain stopped we zipped over to nearby Walden for an hour. Kind of soggy in places  but we had the place to ourselves and Kelley was glad to be out there. Still a lot of green, though starting to turn, and even wild flowers still.

  1. I see fall colors are starting up where you are. I've never heard of huckleberries referred to as "Indian cucumbers" before. There's no seeds in the berries - they are very small. Much tinier than a blueberry, probably at least half the size. Takes quite awhile to gather a good amount. But they have such a great flavor it's worth all the time it takes to pick a bunch.
