Another beautiful ,cool, sunny day but the lawn needs mowing and there is much work to be done in the garden. We save hours of drive time by going to nearby City Forest for two hours in the woods. Kelley was happy, staying ahead of me most of the time, enjoying all of the water, and meeting people and a dog- only one but a friend of hers.
Most of the trees are still green but there are patches of color here and there- it seems to be the boggier places.
Their numbers are dwindling but there are still wildflowers and creatures to be found
Even a snake
We enjoyed our little hike and then home- me to work and Kelley to watch or nap. After mowing the lawn I harvested peppers and pulled out plants so that I could use the pots for Chinese cabbage and bok choy seedlings that need to be potted up and took cuttings of sage and thyme that I hope will root for inside herbs this winter. A good day.
