Another beautiful day- 50's, sunny, little wind. I was in the mood for something easy and we had not been back here since the afternoon we spent getting unstuck.
We started on the Partridge Pond Trail and soon found signs that winter was, indeed, over.
A panoramic shot of Partridge Pond- please click and then again for the full size picture
Of course Kelley was very happy with all that water
The map does not show that the trail continues on past the turn off for Partridge ( I have added it) . We followed that trail to the upper end of the pond.
We then walked back to the side trail to Ducktail. Another pano that needs clicking twice to get the big picture
Another view of Ducktail
and some rocks along the shore
One last swim in the pond before we head back. Not the last water though as there were several streams still running.
A very pleasant day and hike. Kelley seemed pleased also and was almost always out ahead of me on the trails. 2 1/2 hours
What a pretty pond. Isn't it nice to see wildflowers? A sure sign winter is over!
