Finding Trail Descriptions

So as not to repeat myself excessively, I am reducing the amount of description of trails that have already been posted. Please use the search function ( upper left) to find older posts which have more detailed trail descriptions and pictures. You can also use this to find specific hikes either by trail or mountain.

8/8/11 City Forest

Another rainy day but we managed to squeeze in a 2 1/2 hour hike at City Forest. I can't find a usable map ( I had one) but we started from the end of Kittredge Road and walked down the hill past the pond so that Kelley gets two real swims -on the way in and out. We then followed the West Trail to an unnamed trail and took that to the old rail bed and that to a point where the beavers have caused water to cover the trail. We turned back and returned the way we had come.

  1. John, love the dragonfly and the pond. They kinda go together. Wish we had some of your rain. I have never seen it so dry. The Eastern part of Texas where we are is usually a wet area. Average about an inch a week. Wishing you and Kelly well. Bill

  2. Thanks, Bill for your comments and good wishes. Kelley seems much improved. Beth has been telling me about the heat and lack of rain in her part of Texas.
