The trail from the end of Dorr Mtn. to Otter Creek Road is approximate
Thought we would try a little longer trail with a small bit of climbing to see how Kelley is doing. We started from the Canon Brook trail head on Rte. 3 . There is a beaver pond right near the start.
And Kelley wasted no time taking advantage of it.
Canon Brook Trail which we took to the abandoned trail across from the Dorr Mtn. Trail to see if we could find the Pot Holes Trail from this end.
That section is easy to follow but when we got to the creek we could not pick up the trail we wanted ( we followed one which took us to the road.)
Kelley is looking for a spot to get into the water
We returned to the Canon Brook and took that to the A. Murray Young which we followed until the point where it becomes too difficult for Kelley and turned back. The stream along this trail was almost completely dry except for some very small pools. I have never seen the water as low as this year. I found this dragon fly back at the pond near the start
A nice hike of 3 hours which seemed to cause Kelley no pain but when we got home she was a little lame. This morning she is fine.
