Finding Trail Descriptions

So as not to repeat myself excessively, I am reducing the amount of description of trails that have already been posted. Please use the search function ( upper left) to find older posts which have more detailed trail descriptions and pictures. You can also use this to find specific hikes either by trail or mountain.

7/7/10 The Hadlock Ponds

Still hot and humid but we had stayed home for two days ( I did get caught up in the garden) and Kelley let me know she was bored so we headed for Acadia. I picked trails that were near water so Kelley could get in and cool off. We started on the Hadlock Brook Trail from the Norumbega parking area and took that to the Hadlock Ponds Trail which led us along the Upper Hadlock and then around the Lower and back to our original trail. We then hiked up Hadlock Brook to the carriage road and over to Maple Spring and back on that to the ponds trail and the pond again for a nice lunch spot. Then back to Hadlock Brook and back to our car.

Kind of an odd route but it was comfortable and a good hike. 3-3/4 hours
