This is part of the National Wildlife Refuge system. Very cold but sunny and a lot less wind. We had not been here before though it is only about 20 miles from home. There are several trails leaving from different parts of the refuge and today we did the Johnson Brook Trail and a spur called Birch Grove. Most of the trail was through fairly dense coniferous woods and quite pretty.

Those woods do look dense. Good cover for critters. Kelley looks like she is on a scent. I'm guessing that you'll be back here again.
ReplyDeleteKelley was onto lots of scents today-a new place. She gets more excited than usual when we go someplace new.There are several other trails to explore yet.
