11/9/15 Branch Lake

Cool but sunny. Kelley wasn't very excited about getting in the car to go hike so I decided we needed an easy one.

Once there she spent a lot of time sniffing and lagging behind. She did get in the first water she found. The orange is because it's deer season.

Some nice lichens

The color is pretty much over but some leaves stay on the branches

Branch Lake has a very rocky shore which makes it difficult for Kelley to get into the water. She can find space between rocks to get wet but it's hard for her to get out into the lake.

Kelley got a little more enthusiastic when we were on the woods trails, but when I wanted to check out the Marsh Trail she did not so we just headed back.

Once more in the small stream

Kelley's lack of enthusiasm was a concern, though she did not  appear lame. Perhaps she just wasn't into it - when we got home she spent the afternoon lying in the sun. At least we got in some exercise 1  1/2 hours

  2. Orange on her is a good idea - I never thought to do that during deer season.
