Finding Trail Descriptions

So as not to repeat myself excessively, I am reducing the amount of description of trails that have already been posted. Please use the search function ( upper left) to find older posts which have more detailed trail descriptions and pictures. You can also use this to find specific hikes either by trail or mountain.

11/20/14 City Forest

30's mix of sun and clouds. I'm wasn't feeling up to par so it was an hour at City Forest. We started from the end of Kittredge Rd. and walked down to the beaver pond; Kelley was excited until we got there and found it frozen.

However, the small stream that crosses the side trail we use to get to the rail bed was still flowing.

Mostly the ice along the trail was not very thick but Kelley does not like the kind that breaks under her feet.

A small stump

We only went a short distance along the rail bed and then took another side trail back to West Trail.

More ice

Not very long but we did get out and stretch our legs and Kelley seemed satisfied.

  1. I like your last photo. Poor Kelley - icy covered ponds means no swimming.

    1. Thanks Linda - Kelley usually finds some water to get into even if she can't actually swim she will lie down in it
