Finding Trail Descriptions

So as not to repeat myself excessively, I am reducing the amount of description of trails that have already been posted. Please use the search function ( upper left) to find older posts which have more detailed trail descriptions and pictures. You can also use this to find specific hikes either by trail or mountain.

9/1/16 Stillwater River

What with our lack of rain it's getting hard to find places where there is water for Kelley - most small streams and pools have dried up. Kelley wasn't too excited about going so we just went to Orono and walked along the river. It was a pleasant day without excessive heat and no bugs.

Nice flower near the start

First chance at the water for Kelley

This birdhouse has been here awhile

Second spot she gets into the water

Weeds?

On the way back

A pleasant hour- longer than the distance would usually take because Kelley was more interested in sniffing than walking.

  1. Ha-more interested in sniffing than walking-that one cracks me up!
I think that must be a weed-I checked my Wildflower guide and couldn't find anything, but yet those leaves "look" familiar.
    Have a great weekend, John.

  3. Sorry Betty I somehow deleted your comment "It's awesome that you can combine nature that you find along with lovely photos of Kelley! I guess autumn will be creeping up on you soon."

    1. The combination is a result of taking all the pictures on hikes with Kelley. They say we will have an early fall because of our hot dry summer.
