Finding Trail Descriptions

So as not to repeat myself excessively, I am reducing the amount of description of trails that have already been posted. Please use the search function ( upper left) to find older posts which have more detailed trail descriptions and pictures. You can also use this to find specific hikes either by trail or mountain.

9/16/15 Eliot Mt. / Harbor Brook

The heat and humidity have returned so we headed for the coast where it's a few degrees cooler. Decided to see if there was any progress on the new trail - last time here it stopped at the brook and there was a sign saying work would resume in the fall.

Start of the Eliot Mt. Trail- no color here either. I was not happy with today's pictures - I had trouble with the contrasty light.

Kelley was happy to find some patches of water in the trail - when it's really wet parts of this trail act like a small stream.

Dinner ?

When we got to the stream Kelley was immediately in the water and out and in the water. There are sections where she just stays in the water and follows along with me walking the trail: it's mostly very close to the stream. No progress on the new trail.

I did find some wildflowers

and some nice ferns.

A pleasant hike as we had got a fairly early start before the afternoon heat. Kelly did well and really liked all the water. We were also shaded most of the time. 1 1/2 hours
