8/31/15 Newman Hill

Warming up again so I wanted an easy hike with water for Kelley.

A small pond near the start - someone asked me why she shakes while still in the water - pure pleasure I think.

We met a man with two little dogs but they weren't very friendly so Kelley just waited for us to finish our chat.

It's coming

The lichen look pretty much the same all year

Another pond

with queen anne's lace beside it

Pine Pond - another shrinking pond

Back to the first pond on the way out.

We did an hour and a half and that was enough as it was warm and humid when we finished. Kelley did ok though I could tell the heat was affecting her.

  1. Nice collection of photos. I really liked the red leaf, and of course all the photos of Kelley swimming. :)

  2. You spot some great things for photos. The leaf and queen anne's lace are awesome. And, of course, I have to smile when I see Kelley enjoying the water!

    1. Thanks Betty - I enjoy finding those things on our hikes

  3. The heat has been bad here too. I noticed the leaves changing on a tree today. That seems early for us.

    1. Hi Kim- I'm definitely ready for cooler weather- it's been weird weather all summer.
