Finding Trail Descriptions

So as not to repeat myself excessively, I am reducing the amount of description of trails that have already been posted. Please use the search function ( upper left) to find older posts which have more detailed trail descriptions and pictures. You can also use this to find specific hikes either by trail or mountain.

9/9/11 Walden

Had to deal with the car in the morning so we got a late start and ended up going to nearby Walden for a couple of hours. Beautiful day with sun and temperatures in the 70's.

I hadn't seen a caterpillar all summer and saw two ( same type) on this hike

This was odd as all the other bunchberries have long since stopped flowering and are showing bunches of red berries

  2. The butterfly is a Fritillary. There are numerous species of those and I won't try to guess which it is.
