Kelley was showing no signs of distress this morning but decided we would have an easy day. Parked at the end of Kittredge Rd. and walked down the hill to the beaver pond. This is a good starting place because Kelley gets to swim at the start and at the end of the hike. We saw our first fall color.
After the pond we followed the West Trail to an unnamed trail>railroad bed>snowmobile trail> Walden Loop Trail> back to railroad bed and then back the way we had come. Only an hour and 20 minutes but a nice outing which Kelley enjoyed.

nice pics as usual. I was surprised when I looked closely at the mushroom...the bumps resemble barnacles!
ReplyDeleteGood eye John-I did not notice that but they really do resemble barnacles
