Finding Trail Descriptions

So as not to repeat myself excessively, I am reducing the amount of description of trails that have already been posted. Please use the search function ( upper left) to find older posts which have more detailed trail descriptions and pictures. You can also use this to find specific hikes either by trail or mountain.

10/3/15 City Forest

Cool and windy. We hadn't been here in awhile because all of Kelley's water spots had dried up. After our 5 1/2 inches of rain  a couple of days ago we were optimistic.

There is finally some color showing - heading down to the beaver pond.

Across the pond - seems to be up to it's usual level

and Kelley jumped right in

Wildflowers are still blooming

Ferns are browning

Two of the spots that had been dry last time we were here.

We followed our old route down the West Trail to the old rail bed and that back to a side trail to the West again.

More color along the rail bed - it seems most prominent in the wet areas.

The small stream across the side trail also had water again.

A nice hike. Kelley did well. 1  3/4 hours
