Gray day with rain predicted - only in the 60's- 20 degrees cooler than yesterday. I thought we could use another easy day and also wanted time to deal with the seedlings and other garden chores. This park is nearby in the city and is mostly a very large meadow with paths mowed through it. There are some small wooded sections and it also connects to Cascade Park which is across from the river. I thought there would be lots of flowers and insects this time of year and it was not supposed to be windy--but it was. Kelley was happy anyway, running ahead of me through the grass- we had not been here in a long time and she likes 'new' places. We met one woman with her dog but otherwise had the place to ourselves.
There were lots of flowers and I took lots of pictures but the wind caused most to be badly out of focus.
Did I mention there is also a pond?
And Kelley taking a break while I try a few more pictures.
We only spent an hour and it was not a pleasant day weather-wise but we got a bit of exercise and enjoyed ourselves anyway.
