Finding Trail Descriptions

So as not to repeat myself excessively, I am reducing the amount of description of trails that have already been posted. Please use the search function ( upper left) to find older posts which have more detailed trail descriptions and pictures. You can also use this to find specific hikes either by trail or mountain.

11/1/12 City Forest

Another gray day with rain predicted- everything is soggy. We needed to get out in the woods so we went to nearby City Forest. I have new boots to try out ( maybe I won't end up with wet feet) and the new camera to learn more about ( thanks again John) .  We started from the end of  Kittredge Rd. so Kelley would get the beaver pond twice. There was also water everywhere so she was happy- she also prefers the woods.

Even though not that cold it looks pretty wintery

One last swim on the way out

The beavers look ready for winter

In spite of the gray day  we had a pleasant 2 hour hike, did not get rained on, and my feet stayed dry.

  2. Hi John...These are great photo's !! I really like the fungi, and the reflections!!
The fence post has quite a few stories to tell judging from the different wire conditions!
Of course Kelley always steals the show! : )

  6. Do you keep towels all over the place for Kelley? Seems like she spends half her life soaking wet!

  7. Hi Malta - You are right, but it's probably more than half. She really loves the water. The back seat of my car has plastic and a blanket covering it. The only towel is one I take out and try to dry her with when we get home.
