Finding Trail Descriptions

So as not to repeat myself excessively, I am reducing the amount of description of trails that have already been posted. Please use the search function ( upper left) to find older posts which have more detailed trail descriptions and pictures. You can also use this to find specific hikes either by trail or mountain.

7/5/11 Hadlock Ponds

We started from the parking area on Hadlock Pond Road along the east side of Lower Hadlock
This was meant to be a picture of reeds reflected in a mirror like pond surface. ( I screwed up the exposure)

We followed the Hadlock Pond Trail, across the road and along Upper Hadlock Pond

to the Hadlock Brook Trail and took that to the carriage road and walked the short distance to the Hemlock bridge where we dropped down to the Maple Spring trail and back to Hadlock Brook.

Kelley found a nice cool spot ( it was quite warm) in the stream.

Back across the road we took the Lower Norumbega ( called Goat on this map) back to the Hadlock Ponds Trail and along Lower Hadlock back to our car. We found this frog in the pond at the very end of our hike.

Warm but a nice hike anyway. 2 3/4 hours
