Finding Trail Descriptions

So as not to repeat myself excessively, I am reducing the amount of description of trails that have already been posted. Please use the search function ( upper left) to find older posts which have more detailed trail descriptions and pictures. You can also use this to find specific hikes either by trail or mountain.

7/1/11 Little River Trail - Belfast

A mix of sun and clouds. Decided on this trail because it has gradual elevation changes but is mostly flat and has no places where Kelley would have to leap up or down. This is a very pleasant trail and though it's in the city you see no buildings except at the one spot where the trail crosses the road. We started at the ball field end on Rt. 52 and walked to the other end at the water district office and then walked back. Kelley was happy to be off leash and there was water for her to get into. We met a man and his young son fishing but no dogs on this hike.

At the water district office you are at the end of the reservoir and there was a picnic table for us to have our apple.

The hike took us 4 hours.
