7/10/11 Harbor Brook and Eliot Mountain



Hot sunny day so we headed for woods and water. Started from Rte. 3 end of the Harbor Brook Trail since I had had trouble following from the other end two days ago and thought to find where I had gone astray. We reached the Asticou without difficulty but I'm still not sure what my problem was the other day.



We followed the Asticou to the Ridge Trail and that to Eliot Mountain and then the trail back down to the brook. Kelley was happy when we returned to the stream side trail and even did some small stretches in the water beside me. We saw no one until near the end when we met a nice couple from N. Carolina who had dogs at home and liked Kelley. 2 1/2 hours.
