Mix of sun and clouds, temperatures in the lower 30's,and no wind. Another of our winter goals was to walk all of the carriage roads in the park. There were two small sections left to do and they were both part of the Jordan Stream Loop. Kelley was very happy to be back at Acadia-this seems to be her favorite place. Others had preceded us in the past few days so the the walking was easy except for a few short sections. When we finished the loop we decided to try the Jordan Stream Trail and it was very pretty but snowy and we soon lost the trail and returned to the carriage road and back to the car. 2 1/4 hours

Nice pictures. Looks like fresh snow. I laugh when I see Kelley laying in the snow. I rarely see her standing, she seems to like laying down in it.
ReplyDeleteThanks. When I stop to take a picture Kelley usually lies down and that's the easiest time to get a picture of her. It's almost impossible to get her to pose when I want her to pose. (To get pictures of her at the summit markers I usually had to hide treats in the rocks) She is an energetic dog and will hike for hours on end but if we are not moving she doesn't waste energy. She also sleeps in the car , both coming and going, and rarely looks out the window as I see other dogs do. If I stop at a store on the way she seems to know we aren't to the trails and doesn't bother to look out.
ReplyDeleteSmart dog!
