So as not to repeat myself excessively, I am reducing the amount of description of trails that have already been posted. Please use the search function ( upper left) to find older posts which have more detailed trail descriptions and pictures. You can also use this to find specific hikes either by trail or mountain.

4/6/16 Harbor Brook


Beautiful day - 30's, sun, and no wind.

There was still some ice in the brook but Kelley quickly found a way in

Last time we were here Kelley didn't want to do this new trail. (The bridge picture is from an earlier hike.) There is not yet a map or even a name so the squiggly path I have drawn is only a guess.


First part of the trail is through fairly dense woods.


Kelley didn't like these steps - they go further than it looks- and needed a boost for part of it.


A section crosses some granite ledge


We reached the carriage rd. and couldn't find evidence of the trail continuing - there were no signs and there had been only tapes to mark the trail.

We turned back and found a spot for an apple break.

It had been a very pleasant day with comfortable temps. Kelley was enthusiastic and even got to meet some people who were on the carriage road when we reached it. 1  3/4 hours
