Finding Trail Descriptions

So as not to repeat myself excessively, I am reducing the amount of description of trails that have already been posted. Please use the search function ( upper left) to find older posts which have more detailed trail descriptions and pictures. You can also use this to find specific hikes either by trail or mountain.

4/16/16 City Forest

Sunny and 40's - a pretty day. Kelley was not enthusiastic about getting in the car so I decided on the nearby forest to see how it would go.

The beaver pond is near the start of our hike.

West Trail - still not looking very spring-like

Decided on some of the side trails we don't often do. They are not always clearly marked and we usually end up turned around. we started on the grouse trail but the rest of the route may not be entirely accurate.

There were several wet sections.

First wildflowers of the year - just a small patch but there they were.

Near the end

Worked out pretty well. Kelley did ok, once we got going. We met a few people and there was lots of water.  1 1/4 hour

  1. I have been unable to find a single flower anywhere yet....but there's hope--the sun is shining and it's warm!
Such a cheery yellow---sort of looks like a dandelion, but I know it's not.
    Have a great week
