Finding Trail Descriptions

So as not to repeat myself excessively, I am reducing the amount of description of trails that have already been posted. Please use the search function ( upper left) to find older posts which have more detailed trail descriptions and pictures. You can also use this to find specific hikes either by trail or mountain.

4/13/16 Sears Island

We had two rainy days but today we have sun and 40 degrees. Felt colder on the shore with wind off the water.

Kelley quickly got in the water but she doesn't like waves, even small ones.

Some sea plants

We went down the east shore for a ways but it eventually becomes more rocky with large closely packed rocks which are more difficult for Kelley and we turned back.

The Homestead Trail had pools of water

Big old tree

A small stream on the Green Trail

The Green Trail took us to the west shore and we followed that back to our start.

I was complaining about lack of color in the woods and another photographer suggested the shore. This was the most colorful thing I found

Not a bad hike, though Kelley was not enthralled. I think she prefers woods to shore. 1  1/2 hours

  1. I like beach hiking. Our beaches can be rocky just like yours.

    1. Yes, little sand - usually there is more stuff left by the receding tide

  2. Looks like a fine outing.
We had sun for the first time in ages. Heavenly! Felt so good to work outside. Happy Spring, John.
