Finding Trail Descriptions

So as not to repeat myself excessively, I am reducing the amount of description of trails that have already been posted. Please use the search function ( upper left) to find older posts which have more detailed trail descriptions and pictures. You can also use this to find specific hikes either by trail or mountain.

6/3/15 City Forest

After three days of rain it has stopped - still gray and a bit cool - 44 degrees but we are out of the house.

We started from the end of Kittredge Rd. so Kelley would have the beaver pond at the beginning and end of the hike.

Blown dandelion

Kelley was excited to be out and with all the water

Bunchberries

Lady's Slippers

Stream across the side trail

Another blown dandelion

I don't know this one

Wild Lupine

Bog along the rail bed after the intersection with West Trail

Bug love

Lichen and pine needles

One last time in the pond

It was good to be out and Kelley seemed to be in good shape. We also met several people and a neighbor and his dog Homer. 1  3/4 hours

Glad you could get a walk in. This week has been nothing but errands and I haven't even had time for the garden.
