12/11/14 Essex Woods

It rained continually from Tuesday afternoon until sometime Wednesday night and yesterday we just walked around town in the rain. This morning it wasn't raining but I had a dentist appointment. When I got home we were getting a little sun and it was up to 40 degrees so we headed over to Essex Woods. There were a couple of dogs in the dog park but he ground was icy and quite slippery and Kelley didn't care for it so we walked around the woods for awhile.

After all the rain and ( slightly) above freezing temps it was surprising to find there was still snow and ice

Kelley was happy to be out, especially when she found water - there was lots of it.

The sun didn't last long and on the way home it began to rain again but at least we got out for a bit. Possibilities of rain or snow the next two days but they are often wrong.

  1. I rarely make plans according to the forecast. I've wasted too many days sitting around because "they" called for bad weather. Easier to just go and dress for the worst. Often, it's a fine day to be out--just no sun.
Glad you two got out. Looks a bit icy, but still beats sitting around!
    Have a great weekend

    1. Thanks sue- we pretty much take it day to day- the ice is the main problem. You have a nice weekend too.

  2. I totally agree with what sue said. I'm glad you got a chance to get Kelley out to play in the water.
