Please use the search function ( upper left) to find older posts which have more detailed trail descriptions and pictures. You can also use this to find specific hikes either by trail or mountain.

6/8/11 Harbor Brook and Eliot

A quite warm day forecast so we got an early start from Rte. 3. The Harbor Brook trail closely follows the stream for most of the way and 3 minutes into the hike Kelley was in the water.



We are surprised that the streams are so low after a snowy winter and a rainy spring.




We reached the Asticou Trail at this bridge on that trail

We followed the Asticou to the Ridge Trail, crossed over Eliot, and dropped back down to the Harbor Brook so Kelley could have a final go at the water before the trip home. 2-1/2 hours

    Looks like you two are keeping cool. We have had days of 93 and 94 degree temps here in Mich.

    This was a 90 degree day but temps dropped back down the next day.
