Cloudy and 32. looking for a place not too difficult for Kelley, we decided to try the forest. We usually start from Logan Road but when we drove past Sewall I saw that a forest service truck had been on it and left a nice packed path.
But that only lated to the Logan Rd. intersection and then there were only ski tracks and one old snowshoe track and it became a slog - for me - Kelley makes use of the ski tracks.
When we came to the White Trail it looked as if it was a better choice and we took it.
And Kelley found some water.
After that wet spot the trail was less used and then we turned off on the Yellow Trail on which there had been no traffic, Kelley, at first just looked and didn't want to trudge through the snow but then started hopping, using the impressions I had made . Smart girl.
Back on the road I found a pretty pool. Kelley didn't attempt to get to it.
One more weed in the snow
So, a bit disappointing after a good start, but we got an hour in and it was pretty.
