Finding Trail Descriptions

So as not to repeat myself excessively, I am reducing the amount of description of trails that have already been posted. Please use the search function ( upper left) to find older posts which have more detailed trail descriptions and pictures. You can also use this to find specific hikes either by trail or mountain.

5/22/12 Downtown Bangor

Cloudy day ( nice light for flower pictures) with rain predicted and I'm still behind on the garden so we just went for a walk around town. These are some of the things we saw ( there are finally lots of flowers to see ). There were also people about for Kelley to greet.

We managed to get in an hours walk without getting rained on and I even got  got some garden work in before the rain.

  3. I have a lot of the perennial bachelor buttons - second from bottom. They have a wonderful light fragrance. Graceful tulip.

  4. Thanks for your comments Jill and the ID on the bachelor button - I did not know it's name. Is the pinkish flower a fancy tulip?

  5. Yes. I'm pretty sure the pink is a fancy tulip. Nice lady slippers in yesterday's post. Reminds me that I must do a loop on Hallowell Rec trails this weekend while they are out. The H rec trails, off Town Farm Road, are a favorite of Ellie's and many local dogs. We almost always see other dogs off leash and eager to play. There's a pond for swimming and water fetch and also muddy water holes along the trails.

  6. Hi Jill - Thanks for the ID help. I'm not familiar with the Hallowell Rec Trails- do you have a link? Sounds right up Kelley's alley
