Finding Trail Descriptions

So as not to repeat myself excessively, I am reducing the amount of description of trails that have already been posted. Please use the search function ( upper left) to find older posts which have more detailed trail descriptions and pictures. You can also use this to find specific hikes either by trail or mountain.

5/13/12 Marsh Island Natural Area - Orono

Rain predicted so we went to nearby Orono. No map because my printer isn't working  but we started from Hillside and worked our way to the Penobscot River and back. We managed to get in an hour and a half with only on and off light sprinkles. Because of the recent rains there were lots of nice wet areas for Kelley and when we got to the marsh near the river she could actually swim- it was almost completely dried up last time we were here.

It's been many years since I have seen Jack in the Pulpit  so though not much of a picture I've included it.

Coming back and almost within sight of  the car we found a small field of flowers and lots of insects. Kelley patiently stretched out in the grass and waited for me to take some pictures.
