Finding Trail Descriptions

So as not to repeat myself excessively, I am reducing the amount of description of trails that have already been posted. Please use the search function ( upper left) to find older posts which have more detailed trail descriptions and pictures. You can also use this to find specific hikes either by trail or mountain.

11/19/11 Bangor

Time for an easy day so downtown for an hour and a half. There were lots of people about for Kelley to greet and lots of things to sniff. It was a bit cold and I wished I had brought gloves but it was an enjoyable outing anyway.

In spite of several nights of frost this rose was still hanging on.

  3. wWAW a TV with opening for DVD and VHS?
long time since I've seen one of those
    cheerful and amusing photos
it's like an conversation between nature
    and civilization
not sure which one is the host or the guest.
in difference to the former photos from hiking
you're presence here is more notable
so you're not looking at something
    or being an absence guest
but more of being somewhere with a bit more
of a chutzpah, if you know what it means.

  6. As a matter of fact, I do like the Bangor photos better than "all those trails". I must admit you do have many excellent landscape shots.

  7. Royalty and peasants are equally treated
    as John W said:
You did indeed made an excellent landscape shots
and Wile the new ones are more Contemporary
    they retain the same excellency
But what is an instant compared to eternity
    One might argue?
as Gnat from a puddle, who am I to say:
That is better or the other,
as a leaving creature the instant is where i belong
    later the eternity awaits.
There is an load of sensitivity in most of your photos, old and new
through which, One could easily tie bond with, eternity or instant.
we are hitchhiker's at your journey
    you decide

  8. Hi Anon. When I started the blog, it's purpose was to start a dialog with other hikers and the emphasis was on documenting hikes and hoping for hike suggestions. That dialog did not materialize and the blog has become more photo oriented.
