6/8/17 Perch Pond

Beautiful morning - upper 60's when we started and upper 70's at the end. Have decided to do one hour hikes every other day to see how that works for Kelley. Unfortunately, I wanted to get to the pond for her and that took longer than anticipated and the hike end up being two hours long. She did well, though slowed down as we neared the end


All the rain has made the woods very green.

I think, because of the shade there were not many wildflowers here. A few Lady's slippers

and lots of Bunchberry

Ah - the pond

but any water along the way will do

A pretty good hike though I suspect Kelley would have preferred it a bit shorter
