Colder ( 30's) and a mix of sun and clouds (more clouds than sun) . We started from the Partridge Pond Trailhead. as usual. Excuse the larger than usual number of pictures. The two panos do not show in the photo stream and you have to find them separately
Start of the trail- looking kind of wintry.
First water was only for a drink

Most of the pond was frozen but there was open water at the pond's end where it flows into a stream.
Ice pictures
Two more pictures of the pond, with and without Kelley
We then headed for Ducktail and found some nice cloud lichens on the way.

This pond was also frozen except at the end where the water flows out into a stream. We had to work around to a spot kelley could get in - wet feet for me.
I walked down for a closer shot of the stump
One last dip before the end.
A good hike in spite of the cold and gray. Kelley was enthusiastic and did well and seemed, at the end, not to want to quit. 1 3/4 hours
I like your ice photos!
