Please use the search function ( upper left) to find older posts which have more detailed trail descriptions and pictures. You can also use this to find specific hikes either by trail or mountain.

12/19/15 Branch Lake


Thirty degrees, breezy, and mostly cloudy. Decided on the Brookside Trail for today.

First little stream

One of the places Kelley can get to the water -  much of the shore is either steep or very rocky

 One of the same streams on the way out - she won't use that bridge


Pretty good hike. Mostly the woods moderated the wind. The bridges were icy on the way out but only wet on the way back. Kelley did well. 1  1/2 hours

      No - there are no cars allowed past the parking lot - says there is a canoe landing but haven't seen it. Happy holidays to yo and yours.
