Another sunny day in the 40's. We started from the water district end of the trail and this is the view of reservoir 1 from there.
First chance to get in the water
Much of the trail is quite near the water
There is one road to cross and it goes by the spillway
Quieter sections of the river had thin ice - it's below freezing at night - which made some interesting reflections.
Deciding to go around this bridge
Some of the ferns stay green all winter
Much of the river bank is steep and Kelley avoids those spots and looks for places she can get in.
There is a farm with Llamas at the road crossing. Most were watching us closely.
A very steep part of the bank
One last swim near the end of the hike.
A pretty walk in the woods. Kelley did not seem as energetic so we didn't go as far as we usually do, but still a good hike. 1 3/4 hours
With that sunshine, it looks like a fine.....MARCH day-LOL!
ReplyDeleteNice outing. What a great place to hike.
Hi Sue - yes the weird weather continues. It is a nice hike and we rarely meet anyone.
