Yesterday was rainy and a friend took Kelley for a walk around the neighborhood. Today is beautiful- sunny and upper 60's. Only problem was swarms of tiny insects- they did not bite but were very annoying. We started from the trail head off Myrick Pond Road.
Some of the things we saw on the way up.
There are a couple of places Kelley always has to work around but today there were spots for me too: the icy winter brought down several trees and a lot of branches to block the trail.
One of the first view as you come out of the woods onto the ridge
More views of and from the trail
and Kelley checking out the view
A nice hike- there was enough water around to keep Kelley happy and the insects that were with us the first two thirds of the hike, disappeared for the last third. 2 3/4 hours
Such beautiful views. I love all the green that is coming out. The bugs - not so much. :-)
ReplyDeleteHi Kim- this is one of those hikes where you get some really nice views with not a lot of effort. First time we have encountered those tiny bugs- at least they didn't bite
