Still hot here but the forecast is for ten degrees cooler at the park. We started from the upper parking lot and did the route we do most often.
The little stream near the parking lot had no water but we were soon down to the pond.
In the meadow along the west side were some wildflowers
And the water was right there for Kelley
The water lilies are finally blooming
It was sunny when we left home but on the island we had clouds and fog.
The water in Jordan Stream was low
After an apple break at the cobblestone bridge we went down the east side of the pond. We met lots of people and dogs and this made Kelley happy. She also had more chances to get in the pond
Another Rosa rugosa
Near the bottom of the pond it looked like the weather might clear
Two more water lilies
A nice hike with comfortable temps, and for Kelley, lots of water, people, and dogs. 2 1/2 hours
Lovely flower pics! Those water lilies are gorgeous!
