Cooler ( 40's) and quite windy ( won't be bugs) but mostly sunny. We started from the Partridge Pond parking area. Kelley appeared enthusiastic today so it seems the easy day was good for her.
Near the start is a set of bog bridges. Kelley sometimes walks them and sometimes not. when we first started hiking she never used them. Today she did.
Signs winter is over
Instead of turning off to Partridge we continue on the trail I have added to the map which takes you to the north end of the pond. It is less used and not maintained with lots of blow downs but not too hard to follow.
Kelley went around this bridge
From the north end
Kelley got in at a spot she didn't want to climb out of
We then went back and took the trail into Partridge.

And then on to Ducktail where we met a couple camping. we chatted and I learned of another trail in the area.
Into the water on the way out
A pleasant outing. The wind made close ups difficult but it was a pretty day and the woods were protective. 2 1/2 hours
Lovely trillium photo!

DeleteI sure don't blame Kelley for skipping that bridge. What a mess!
