So as not to repeat myself excessively, I am reducing the amount of description of trails that have already been posted. Please use the search function ( upper left) to find older posts which have more detailed trail descriptions and pictures. You can also use this to find specific hikes either by trail or mountain.

9/27/17 City Forest



Kelley did not seem very interested in a hike so we just went to nearby City Forest.It was cloudy as we head across the meadow to the pond.




The trees are starting to change colors.



Still lots of chicory






The pond remains low






Cattails seemed to be exploding



Don't know these



There were a surprising number of bees about











Lagging behind on the Grouse Trail



Back at the pond



and another bee for me



The sun was coming out as we climbed back up the hill and the colors were nice



Kelley was not overly enthusiastic but we got in a pleasant hour.

    Great reminder of our hike when I visited, I enjoyed the trails, thought Kelley was doing a bit better since you cut back on some of the drugs but perhaps the heat has gotten to her. Off to Sicily on Sat. for a week--will let me decide if I want to go back and spend more time in some of the areas.

      Thanks for commenting Tom. Trying every other day with Kelley - she did well on hike before this.the heat does not help but are back to seasonal temps. Have fun in Sicily
