Kelley had a vet appointment in Newport so we did a section of the rail trail from there. The trail is 27 miles long so we have never hiked it all in one go, but sections from each end and in the middle. A little warmer than yesterday with little wind and nice sun.
The trail itself is wide and not especially interesting but the snow is nicely packed by snowmobiles and you get a few views of the lake.
View from where we turned around.
Stop for an apple break
A pleasant outing except for a painful spot on the side of my right ankle- new boots. Kelley was enthusiastic and seemed to like the easy walking. We only met 3 snowmobiles. 2 hours
Hopefully just a routine appointment
