Sunny and 60's - ideal hiking weather. Spent the last two days getting transplants in the ground and in pots. Supposed to rain next several days so we wanted a good one today and this may be Kelley's favorite.
We started from the upper parking lot and took the Friends Path down to the pond.
As ominous looking tree along the trail
This trail ends at the pond
A two shot pano of the pond - click for the large version
Along the West Side Trail
Start of the Jordan Stream Trail. Today the water was low - other times we have to bushwhack up a hill and around.
Kelley is not fond of the bridges
We had not met anyone on the west side of the hike but once we started down the east side we met several people and dogs.
There is an interesting tree I have tried many times to photograph but can't really isolate it.
The water lilies are producing pads but no flowers yet
A beautiful day. 2 1/4 hours
Cool looking tree. Next time you're there try getting up close and taking shots of individual elements of the tree. You'd be surprised at what you'll find.
ReplyDeleteThanks Kim- I'll have a look
